Matt Shannon

Matt Shannon is a Senior Director with the firm ,leading strategy development, market and competitor analyses, policy advisory work, and project management across a range of client engagements.

Prior to joining McKenna & Associates in May 2021, Mr. Shannon worked at Perch Partners, a strategic brand advisory and management consulting firm in Seattle, Washington. During his tenure there, he led the firm’s market research and analytics practice, building data-driven strategies for innovative startups and Fortune 100 companies.

Earlier in his career, Matt worked as a legislative assistant in the office of Senator Tom Cotton, serving as the Senator’s designee to the Senate Banking Committee. His portfolio included economic, trade, and financial regulatory policy.

Mr. Shannon holds an MBA from the University of Washington Foster School of Business and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the varsity men’s lacrosse team. As a senior, he was recognized as the Athletic Department Scholar Athlete of the Year.
